14 JUNE 2012 : Biggleswade company, Harmony Internet, are celebrating after winning FSB Bedfordshire award for their Augmented Reality platform - onvert™.

The Federation of Small Businesses in Bedfordshire selected the company as overall winners of this year's Business Innovation category - reserved for businesses demonstrating a high degree of innovation.

"We are overjoyed to receive the award," explained Director, Jason Higgins, "it is fantastic recognition of this new technology and the hard work we have put into the research as a team."

Launched in February 2012, onvert is the world's most accessible Augmented Reality marketing platform. It allows designers to overlay virtual content (with or without sound) on any trigger image of their choice. The technology allows designs to become 3D and offer hidden content.

The augmented content can be viewed through a freely distributed app on smartphones and tablets, and can be managed via a custom web portal at onvert.com

The award comes as Harmony increases staff numbers to take onvert into international markets all from their new building in central Biggleswade.

"We have taken a range of skills developed over the past 10 years and successfully forged them with some leading edge technology which is gaining us recognition Worldwide. Having recently moved to new custom built offices in Biggleswade, we are now expanding our team further and look forward to a very exciting future."

In addition to local recognition, Harmony has been shortlisted for the Special Award for Technological Innovation at the New Media Age Awards 2012.
